Remembering or Exploiting?

In the wake of traumatic events, news sources often try to get as many stories as possible on the subject. Often these stories include accounts from survivors of the attacks. Is it ethical to be interviewing survivors so soon after an attack, when they often still seem in shock?

Moreover, is it ethical to share the story of how a person died, if the person being interviewed didn't know that person? Is it helping to remember those lost or exploiting their deaths for a more compelling story?
